After my university studies of Mechanical Engineer, specialized in Gas and Petroleum engineering as well as thermal transfer I worked for eleven years in production management and surveillance (compactors, industrial furnaces, pressure vessels, steam turbines) as well as in capacity calculations and industrial development of briquetting and power plants.

Thereafter I was employed for 21 years with a leading manufacturer
of longitudinal welded pipes, fittings and vessels out of stainless steel,
Duplex and Superduplex materials, Nickel alloys and cladded plates.

The necessary requirement for this work was the knowledge of international standards like ASTM, ASME, API, BS, DNV, Nace, Norsok
and different company specifications (Total, Shell, PDO etc).

I am quite familiar with pipe production, welding (GTAW, SAW ,GMAW, PAW, LB, EB), non-destructive and destructive testing of stainless steels and other materials.

Part of my work was the supervision of heat treatment, pressure testing and final inspections of the products and the preparing of final documentations.

 

I acted as Authorized Works Inspector and Quality Project Manager for the pipe resp. pipe spool production of different projects, for example:
